    Name: Mama Circle
    Date: April 27, 2019
    Time: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
    Event Description:
Sometimes you just feel OVER things
    - overwhelmed
    - overworked
    - overtouched
    - overtired

Do you ever wonder if something is wrong with you; if you’ve missed out on some secret; if you’re even doing this “mom” thing correctly. You may spend hours worrying, comparing, criticizing, and being overly too hard on yourself to the point where you just don’t feel you do anything right.

But the worst part of all this?

You don’t feel like you can share this with anyone for fear of being judged, laughed at, or your worries being guessed aside as being the “extra” mom.

Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

    I’ve been there.

    • I couldn’t figure out how to get sleep when my little one came home and lost hours of it (when I could have been sleeping soundly)
    • I was too scared to ask someone “is this normal?” for fear of being ridiculed, so I worried in silence
    • I was so overwhelmed and isolated during my maternity leave that on those super trying days, I cried alongside my daughter because I couldn’t figure out why she was crying
    • I criticized myself for days about not being “tough” enough and thinking I was the only mom who wasn’t on a sleep schedule by 6 weeks.

This and so many more reasons is why we need a tribe to rely upon.

Motherhood is tough - and not something that comes with a user manual (although babies really should come with them...) And it’s even tougher when we’re doing it all alone and so often we don’t have anyone we trust to field our multitude of questions. Long ago, when we still lived and raised families in more tribal communities, women had the support of their families and friends when it came to child rearing. Those days may be gone, but the spirit and support doesn’t have to disappear.

This is why Mama Circles as so important. Come as you are - late, in PJ’s, with your mom braid or bun - and reclaim some time - and some sanity. Together we will share, support, and empower each other to reclaim our voices and identifies as women first, mothers and wives second. In this safe space, we can share honestly about our fears, our questions, our worries, and yes - our mistakes. The circle is non-judging and sacred - a place where we can each lay aside our concerns and come together, lifting one another up and filling our cups so we’re renewed.

    Each circle will consist of:
    ~ a welcoming and introductions
~ sharing of the week’s highs and lows
    ~ a special topic and/or guest speaker
    ~ paired activities
~ a worksheet/handout to continue the journey as you leave
