promotes fine art and traditional crafts of both regional and
local artists and artisans featuring shows and regional

Elizabeth City State University
Planetarium

Located on the campus of Elizabeth City State University,
presents multimedia productions under the stars on a variety of
topics including: space exploration, science fiction, current
astronomy and laser shows. Reservations are required with a
minimum group size of 10.
Episcopal Cemetery

Located on Ehringhaus Street in Elizabeth City, is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. It contains an important
collection of gravestones and cast iron fences. Founded in 1828.

Six National Historic Register Districts

Are accessible by self-guided tour including the largest
collection of antebellum homes in the state which features
African-American History and Aviation History including stops
where the Wright Brothers bought supplies and provisions on
their way to Kitty Hawk.
Mariners' Wharf

Located on the waterfront in Elizabeth City. Free dockage for 48
hours on the Intracoastal Waterway. Legendary Rose Buddies greet
each boat with a rose and a warm welcome.
Museum of The Albemarle

Located on Water Street across from the waterfront in Elizabeth City, is home to
permanent and temporary galleries featuring the story of the
people who dwelled in the Albemarle region from the Native
Americans and African-Americans to the first English-speaking
colonists, adventurers, fishermen and farmers. Serves as a
regional museum branch of the North Carolina Museum of History.
Camden County Heritage Museum in Camden is housed in the
former Camden County jail (circa 1910.) The second story cells
have been fully restored and are open to the public. Documents
the history of Camden County with changing exhibits. |
